When we were sorting through my mum's things after she went into care because of dementia, we found loads of packets of those Souza tablets. It was so clear she’d been tricked into buying them in the early days of her illness. Proper scams, honestly. Those people should be ashamed.

After ignoring the calls for a while, I decided to pick up and deal with this annoying caller. The lady, with an asian accent, claimed it was about some healthcare letter supposedly sent to me but I never got it. I acted like I was really confused and kept asking her to say it again. Eventually, she got irritated and just hung up. Honestly, these callers are all scammers trying to trick us out of our cash.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from the Health Centre. The woman on the phone, sounded Asian, began asking me several questions. When I asked her how she got hold of my name and number, she just hung up on me. Honestly, who’s handing out people’s details from the phone book like that? Really think it’s time this kind of thing was stopped altogether.

I've been receiving persistent calls from individuals inquiring about my health and medication. Seriously, what's the deal? I've had this number ring me a couple of times, and it’s generally a chap with a heavy accent trying to chat. They tend to be courteous enough, but I'm well aware of what they're after - usually some sort of health survey, I reckon. My approach is to be cordial at first and act as if I'm engaged in the discussion. Then, out of the blue, I'll say something like, "Oh, just a moment, there's someone knocking on my door," and promptly set the phone down, ensuring I can hear it disconnect. That way, I let them squander their time and cash instead of mine.

I received a call from this number which claimed to be conducting a health survey. They proceeded to inquire if anyone in my household suffered from arthritis and a myriad of other health issues. I informed the caller that there were no such problems and swiftly ended the conversation, as it became apparent they were attempting to sell products.

Yesterday, my wife received a rather dubious call from a chap claiming to be Mr Ray Carter, representing some health service in Harrow, Middlesex. He had an alarming amount of information about her medical history and was pitching these Celumin health tablets, insisting she should make a purchase immediately. When she mentioned needing to consult her doctor first, he bluntly conveyed that this wasn't necessary. At that point, I told her to firmly dismiss him, and she hung up. He tried ringing back, but thankfully, she chose not to pick up this time.

My dear mother, who's getting on a bit, has unfortunately fallen prey to these unscrupulous charlatans who peddled her some so-called "health supplements" on two separate occasions. She's far too polite for her own good! Now they're back hounding her, claiming she owes them additional funds. I rang them myself to demand they erase her details from their records, but they had the cheek to deny ever contacting her, though I'd used a callback feature to confirm it. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to put a stop to their incessant calls!

I've received a couple of unsolicited calls from this number recently. They claim they're not trying to sell anything, but it's quite clear they are. They posed some rather intrusive questions that I found quite alarming. I’d really like this number to be removed from your records, as I’m curious how they managed to get hold of my information in the first place. I said I wasn’t bothered, and he asked why, even though I hadn’t let him explain. Told him I don’t like random cold calls from strangers. I received a call inquiring about my mother, and when I mentioned she wasn't home, the caller kept pressing for details about her return. I clarified that it would be a considerable time before she was back, but they didn't seem to take that as an answer. After I hung up, they immediately called again, asking for my identity despite me having already provided it. As a senior citizen, I found myself on the receiving end of a surprise phone call from a young woman of Asian descent. I clearly mentioned that I had no interest in making any purchases, but I welcomed the idea of having a chat. Now, she rings me up every week for a delightful 15-minute discussion, with no sales pitch whatsoever. Living in social isolation, like countless others of my age, my television has been my only companion. So, it truly means a lot to me that someone is willing to take the time to have a conversation. I must say, the 'Call in Time' service from AGEUK is a bit on the short side, lasting just five minutes! Warm regards, Catherine Penny.

Got a call from someone saying he was Gary Thomson, a manager at some wellness clinic for elderly folks' health. When I asked how he got my number, he said it was on some register. I mentioned we’re listed on the x directory, and he claimed a kind-hearted person passed my details along. He then tried to quiz me about my health, but I just said goodbye and ended the call. Bit worrying though that he already knew my name.

I received a call at 9:18 am on January 13, 2015. The caller claimed to be conducting a survey on health for seniors, but it quickly turned into a sales pitch for supplements and an attempt to get my banking information. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
