Got a dodgy call from a bloke named “Kyle” speaking English with a kind of northern accent. The line was glitchy and tough to catch what he was saying. He started off all sharp-edged, saying “This is Kyle from Microsoft” and told me my PC was hacked. I just cut the call straight away. Sounds like a scammer from around here in the UK. Seemed either really annoyed or trying to scare me. I reckon he might warn about disconnecting my internet next.

I’m really fed up with these persistent calls. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve received so many, each from a different number. They claim to be from Microsoft, but it’s clear they’re just scams since I don’t even own a Microsoft PC. Sometimes I just ignore them, but other times I try to keep them on the line to stop them ripping off someone else who might actually fall for it. Still, I’m running out of patience with this nonsense…

Some bloke called 'Ben' claiming to be from Microsoft rang me. He kept asking what I was looking at on my screen and when I said a knitting pattern, he just kept saying 'nothing'. I kept saying 'knitting' and he got really annoyed. Then he was going on about showing me who was hacking me! I just ended the call straightaway!

I reckon it was someone pretending to be from Microsoft. They said there was an issue with my computer. When I told them I had Windows 5, they claimed the problem was with my internet. They got really annoyed when I told them it sounded like a scam. They insisted they’d fix my computer, and I called them out on it. We went back and forth for a few minutes until they rudely told me to die. I told them I'd hope they catch something nasty, then they hung up. At least I managed to stop them calling anyone else for a bit. Definitely a dodgy caller.

This person said they were from Microsoft and started shouting at me on the phone, demanding to talk to my dad who sadly died on Saturday. I didn’t have any details about his password or his computer, but even after explaining all that, they kept shouting at me like I was lying. I just had to hang up!

I received a call from a lady named Anna, claiming to be representing a firm associated with Microsoft. She appeared to know my name, which threw me a bit. She inquired whether I was the owner of a computer in my residence, to which I replied that I didn’t own one. This seemed to throw her for a loop, and before I knew it, the call just cut off. I’ve since decided to block that number.

Got a call from a guy named Steven claiming to be from Microsoft, speaking with a strong South East Asian accent. He told me to hit the Windows key, type cmd and then eventvwr, saying my PC was hacked. Totally bogus. Their real plan was to get me to buy Google Play cards or to get into my bank for some kind of international transfer. When I called him out on the scam, he started swearing in Hindi and dropped racist, sexist and homophobic stuff. Seriously, can't OFCOM step in and stop these jokers?

The moment I noticed the 0203 area code, I quickly pressed the 'Block Now' option on my caller blocker. Before, I'd just let the voicemaile deal with these calls (same start but different last digits most times). Got a call from an Asian woman who gave a western name but spoke with a thick accent. I played along like I was an elderly bloke, pretending not to understand. She kept reading out this long 'computer licence ID' a few times, probably thinking I was slow. Then she told me to switch on my computer. I kept stalling and wasting her time. After a bit, she seemed flustered, fiddled with her phone, and handed me over to some supervisor. He asked what I used my Microsoft computer for, so I said I was catching scammers and hackers. A woman called me from this number claiming to be with Microsoft and said my PC had been hacked. She told me hackers were using my info to do illegal stuff. After I ended the call, she rang me back from like five other numbers.

I received a rather alarming call from someone purporting to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer was allegedly involved in drug trafficking and money laundering activities. They became quite irate when I refused to power on my machine, despite me consistently informing them that it seemed like a scam. Eventually, I grew tired of their relentless prodding, and as I chose to remain silent, they abruptly hung up. Quite the nuisance, really!

Got a call from this number but no one said a word. I reckon they’ll keep ringing till someone answers. I’m not bothered about chatting with them, but I wouldn’t go sharing personal details about someone here unless you’re totally sure it’s the right person. Keep in mind, callers can fake numbers quite easily. The person linked to this number seems to have a proper business, which could get hurt if wrong info gets spread. Be cautious.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from Microsoft, telling me if I didn’t let him sort out my spam emails, he’d shut down my computer and I’d need to travel all the way to Reading to get it fixed. Sounded like the same guy who kept sending me those dodgy emails about my McAfee subscription running out. He asked me to log into my computer so he could "fix" it, but I told him no and just ended the call.

Got a call from a guy named Michael sayin he was from Microsoft. (yeah, right... fun times!) Anyway, after about 8 minutes, another bloke came on and started telling me that everyone in the UK is daft, then went on a proper verbal tirade at me. He only dropped the call when I put my landline phone next to my mobile and played the opening of a rock song loud and clear.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Microsoft. I told her that Microsoft doesn’t do cold calls like that and she was definitely a scammer, but she kept trying to convince me otherwise. In the end, I just hung up on her. She rings nearly every day when I’m at work!

They called me twice today, once in the morning and again later, but I just let it ring through to voicemail and they didn't bother leaving a message. I honestly don’t understand how these scammers sleep at night - bet they wouldn’t be so happy if it happened to someone they cared about. Why don’t they just get a real job instead of leeching off others? Proper nasty, soulless people.

Got a call from someone saying he was Mike Scott, Managing Director at Microsoft. The number they rang me from was 02037138481. A day before, another bloke from the same company called and told me there were corrupted files on my PC. He even asked for my computer's serial number, but I ended the call pretty quickly. That number was 02070524334.

I gotta say, the previous comment makes a good point... why bother picking up calls from strangers? So many folks just jump into conversations they don’t really have to. Honestly, just ignore any number you don’t recognise. If it’s important, they’ll leave a proper voicemail and you can sort it out from there.

Microsoft? No way. She told me to get on my computer and said she’d help me fix some issues that supposedly were there. I hung up straight away. Then a few minutes later, I dialled 1471 to check who had called me... the caller was still on the line, and the same woman asked me why I’d ended the call! That’s when I was sure it was a scam, so I cut her off again without saying a word. When I checked 1471 about ten minutes later, the line was dead. Properly annoying and likely a security risk.

Got a call from 02037138481 claiming to be Microsoft. I told them my computer wasn’t even Microsoft. They gave a made-up IP address, so I just ended the call. They kept ringing back a few times after that. Eventually my wife picked up, and the person on the line rudely told her to “shut up b####, I want to talk to your husband.” We left the phone down and could hear them swearing and repeating “Hello hello” before it went dead. Honestly, these lot should be found and made to face the law. It’s absolutely gross.

Got a call from some stranger saying he was with Microsoft Tech Support in Reading. He was telling me my computer was about to get hacked or something. I just said cheers for the heads-up and told him my son-in-law would sort it out, then ended the call. No sooner had I hung up than he rang back straight away, sounding a bit miffed and saying waiting would be too late, and I had to hear him out. That didn’t sit right with me, so I just cut him off again.
