I've had calls like this a few times already. I don't know anyone from London, and the caller always hangs up just before I can answer. Pretty sure it's some kind of call centre.

I’m not exactly sure, but they asked specifically for my missus by her name. When I told them she wasn’t here, they just ended the call straight away. I tried calling the number back but got a dead tone like the number wasn’t working. Seems like one of those scam calls to me. We’re on the TPS list, so we shouldn’t be getting random calls like that anyway.

Missed a call that went straight to voicemail during call screening, but there was no message from whoever called.

I’m not entirely sure, but the person on the phone asked to speak to my wife by name. When I told them she wasn’t available, the call just ended abruptly. I tried calling the number back but all I got was a dead tone. Pretty sure it was a scam. We’re signed up with the TPS, so we’re not supposed to get random calls like this.

I got a call out of the blue about renewing a washing machine warranty that ended ages ago. They tried to convince me to pay for a new policy, and while the price seemed alright, I reckon their main goal is to get your bank info. Honestly, I doubt they actually offer any real coverage. Best thing is to just hang up straight away and block the number. The authorities class these calls as scams, which basically means it’s a kind of fraud.

Got a call from someone trying to sell me an extended warranty for our washing machine that's about 5 years old, far past any guarantee. The bloke claimed they couldn't store our info due to data protection rules and asked me to provide my details so he could arrange it all. I told him to just email the info instead, but when I refused to share any personal info over the phone, he said he'd send me an email and then hung up without even asking for my email address. They never asked for bank details, but the whole thing seemed a bit sketchy to me.
