It’s clearly the same company mentioned by others, as they started probing about whether I owned a conservatory and the type of boiler I have. When I hesitated to share any details and requested that they take my number off their list, they promptly ended the call. Interestingly, I've noticed that after these bothersome calls, when I dial 1471, the system spits out a number that turns out to be impossible to reach. A rare encounter with a real BT representative confirmed that the number they provided doesn’t actually exist. It baffles me how this is possible when BT’s automated service has given it in the first place. I've just had a word with that neighbour, and it turns out it's all a pack of lies.
