Got a call about renewing my washing machine’s warranty. The bloke used a name I’d once given to another cold caller ages ago. He couldn’t even get the brand of my machine right. Claimed the manufacturer gave him my info, but I told him I’m on the TPS list. He then said I needed to renew my TPS registration every year, which sounded like total nonsense to me. When I called him out on it, he just hung up. If they’re meant to be legit, they ought to know how TPS works. I’m definitely reporting them to TPS, and I hope others do the same.

Got a call yesterday from someone trying to renew my washing machine insurance since the guarantee ended. They kept pestering for my bank info and every time I asked who's calling, they'd dodge the question. After the fourth time me asking, and them insisting my insurance had expired, I told them straight up there's no chance I’m handing over my bank details to some scammer. They just hung up after that. Fingers crossed I’m done with their calls now.

I dont get why no one is keeping an eye on these calls. It feels like they’re straight up harassing me. My number isn’t public, so how on earth are they finding it? Whenever I ask them nicely to stop calling and remove me from their list, they just shut the phone down. Really annoying!

Got calls from these lot two days straight. When we picked up, they said something about the washing machine. My wife reckoned it was from Indesit since our machine was just about due for a new one. She went ahead and arranged a payment, they mentioned £76 a year. Afterwards, they gave a number for Shieldfield Protection to call if the washer broke down. Next thing you know, they actually took £228, saying it’s for a three-year cover. Tried calling them back, but couldn’t get anyone. Definitely a lesson learnt the tough way.

Got a ring today from someone called Andy Hall from Homeshield Direct. He claimed that my manufacturer's warranty was no longer valid. When I told him I was already signed up with D&G, he said I’d been duped since the manufacturer supposedly covers the machine for five years. Then he pushed me to ditch D&G and go with their £288 three-year plan instead. Seemed really dodgy to me.

Got a call claiming to be from Knowhow saying my washing machine warranty was up and if I wanted to renew it by doing some paperwork. I told them no thanks, not interested. Then I called Currys' Knowhow customer service and was told it's a scam, just a trick to steal your card details and cash. So glad I checked first!

I got a voicemail from some bloke apologising because he'd upset my daughter and made her cry. She's 22 and has Asperger’s, so my first guess was maybe it was something to do with her job. Luckily, I searched the number on this site. The guy sounded pretty old. What a complete muppet!!

SCAM ALERT - Over the weekend, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent asking if I still owned my Hotpoint washing machine. Today, this same number rang me again, saying my insurance on the machine was due for renewal and they'd give me a discount because I was a "loyal customer". They gave me a number to ring if I had questions before my paperwork was sent out (0800 023 6178). When they asked how I wanted to pay and I said direct debit, the call got cut off. I rang the 0800 number they gave me and guess what, the same guy named Liam picked up. Dodgy if you ask me.

This number has reached out about four or five times asking for my daughter. I usually tell them she's at work, which is true. Today, on 22/02/17, they rang again, and I told them she was asleep. At that point, the caller asked if I was a relative. I said yes but made it clear I wasn't interested in any surveys, questions, or insurance offers. I also told them I’m blocking their number.
