Got a call about renewing my washing machine’s warranty. The bloke used a name I’d once given to another cold caller ages ago. He couldn’t even get the brand of my machine right. Claimed the manufacturer gave him my info, but I told him I’m on the TPS list. He then said I needed to renew my TPS registration every year, which sounded like total nonsense to me. When I called him out on it, he just hung up. If they’re meant to be legit, they ought to know how TPS works. I’m definitely reporting them to TPS, and I hope others do the same.

Received a call yesterday regarding my washer's insurance, claiming the manufacturer's warranty had expired. The caller asked for my bank information and, after I repeated the company's name multiple times, he kept saying he hadn't heard me properly. Frustrated, I made it clear that I absolutely refused to share my banking details with what seemed like a scammer. He abruptly ended the call, so I'm crossing my fingers this isn't the start of a torrent of calls from them again!

In just two days, I've had half a dozen calls from Homeshield about renewing some washing machine cover contract. Told them to take us off their list but the last person just chuckled and kept going. Proper annoying!

I dont get why no one is keeping an eye on these calls. It feels like they’re straight up harassing me. My number isn’t public, so how on earth are they finding it? Whenever I ask them nicely to stop calling and remove me from their list, they just shut the phone down. Really annoying!

I've had these calls two days in a row. When we finally picked up, they claimed it was regarding our washing machine. My wife, aware that our Indesit was due for an upgrade, thought it was genuinely from them and went ahead to arrange a payment. They quoted £76 annually, which sounded reasonable at the time. Then they provided a number for something called Shieldfield Protection, telling us to ring them if the washer stopped working. But then, out of nowhere, they took £228 for a three-year cover without any prior warning! Tried contacting them, but couldn't get through at all. It’s a lesson learned, albeit the hard way.

When I asked where she was from, she mentioned some homecare company. After I explained I didn’t own a Hotpoint, she said she’d remove my number from their list.

Got a ring today from someone called Andy Hall from Homeshield Direct. He claimed that my manufacturer's warranty was no longer valid. When I told him I was already signed up with D&G, he said I’d been duped since the manufacturer supposedly covers the machine for five years. Then he pushed me to ditch D&G and go with their £288 three-year plan instead. Seemed really dodgy to me.

Got a call claiming to be from Knowhow saying my washing machine warranty was up and if I wanted to renew it by doing some paperwork. I told them no thanks, not interested. Then I called Currys' Knowhow customer service and was told it's a scam, just a trick to steal your card details and cash. So glad I checked first!

I got a voicemail from some bloke apologising because he'd upset my daughter and made her cry. She's 22 and has Asperger’s, so my first guess was maybe it was something to do with her job. Luckily, I searched the number on this site. The guy sounded pretty old. What a complete muppet!!

A couple of days ago I got a call about a survey, but I just made up bogus answers for all their questions. They kept ringing me loads of times. I finally picked up once and he was chatting about a washing machine. I kept replying with just one word answers, and somehow that made him wanna "guess my age." He reckoned I was 20, though maybe if he'd tried that from the beginning I'd have been more friendly! They're still calling now. He never asked for any cash or anything. SCAM ALERT - Over the weekend, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent asking if I still owned my Hotpoint washing machine. Today, this same number rang me again, saying my insurance on the machine was due for renewal and they'd give me a discount because I was a "loyal customer". They gave me a number to ring if I had questions before my paperwork was sent out (0800 023 6178). When they asked how I wanted to pay and I said direct debit, the call got cut off. I rang the 0800 number they gave me and guess what, the same guy named Liam picked up. Dodgy if you ask me.

I've received calls from this number about four or five times now, all inquiring after my daughter. I typically respond by letting them know she’s at work, which is accurate enough. However, on the 22nd of February this year, when they rang yet again, I mentioned she was napping. That’s when the caller wanted to confirm if I was family. I affirmed that I was but made it clear that I wasn’t interested in participating in any surveys or purchasing insurance from them. I then proceeded to blacklist the number. I doubt they'll be bothering me again, but I've made sure it’s officially blocked through BT. Goodnight!

This number rings me daily, without fail, often from the crack of dawn. If I pick up, I can make out someone greeting me with a "hello," but then I’m left hanging after about ten seconds, as the call disconnects. It’s pretty clear they’re dialling multiple people at once.
