I just got a call saying they had a parcel for me from UPS, but I never ordered anything! Bit strange, really.

I picked up the call and kept saying 'hello' a bunch of times but no one ever replied. All I could hear was some weird noise and music playing in the background before they just cut off. To me, it doesn’t seem like a real business, looks like yet another scam to me 😡😡

Just to clear things up for anyone worried, I contacted Gallup and they assured me the number is legit. It was connected to their Global Attitudes Project. Glad to know it's not dodgy!

I ended up taking the call and responding to quite a few questions. They asked mainly about international stuff like the USA, China, and other countries, focusing on things like global politics, the environment, and some questions about Covid. They didn’t ask for much personal info apart from my age and roughly how much money my household makes, which I just said I’d rather not share. I’m not sure how my answers could be used to trick me, but after reading this page, I’m a bit worried now.

So this bloke rang me up saying he was from Gallop, wanting to chat about what I think of the economy. I told him I’m not interested unless he could prove he actually worked for Gallop. He tried to read out stuff from the website but looked a bit shocked when I mentioned anyone could do that, even scammy types! This number has been hitting my phone loads over the last few weeks, sometimes no one talks, other times they say they're from Gallop - all pretty irritating.
