Got a call from someone pretending to offer a brilliant phone deal. When I asked which company they were ringing from, there was a pause before she finally said Carphone Warehouse. I pointed out the hesitation, but she denied it. I calmly said I wasn’t interested and asked to be taken off their calling list. Fortunately, I already knew about this Carphone Warehouse scam. Seriously, don’t hand over any info!

They say they've got a brilliant phone deal but it’s just a con. I’ve blocked their number, only for them to ring back on a different one. Been getting hounded for a full day now. I’ve started messing with them by acting like I’m keen. Told them my name’s Emma Roids just to put them off, but they keep pushing. They only seem to get the hint when I say my bank info won’t process without any reason.

I got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I'd done something fraudulent. They warned me if I didn’t hit 1, the cops would be coming to arrest me. A few weeks back, my husband got the exact same call. It was really upsetting.

Somebody rang me from this number saying they were with Super Lotto. Since I never bother with lottery games, I just ended the call and blocked it straight away. Looking back, it was a smart move.
