Got a call from a woman with an African/South African accent claiming I had pre-paid gas and electric meters. When I asked, she couldn’t say where they got my info or which company she was with. They initially asked for £76 as a processing fee for my loan application. After that, they requested an additional £250 to supposedly transfer the funds into my account. It raised my suspicions, so I decided against proceeding. Now, they keep pestering me for another £150, which I’ve also refused. I demanded a refund of my initial £76, but they keep saying they'll get back to me. They advised me to check my bank balance both tonight and tomorrow morning, but to be honest, I’m not optimistic about it at all.
