To lend more credence to her story, she even patched me through to a bloke from Virgin Media's sales team when I expressed a bit of scepticism about her legitimacy. It turns out they were likely sitting together, concocting this ruse. I ended up falling for her charming spiel and decided to upgrade my current iPhone to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, paying £59.99 in two instalments of £30 each. The chap, who took my card details under the guise of wanting to ensure my safety, seemed exceedingly helpful, advising me to make the payment in two parts for “security reasons.” I mistook his caring tone for genuine customer service. After my payment, "Timothy" assured me the phone would be delivered by DHL to my home the very next day between 6-7 pm. However, when the promised delivery didn’t arrive, I rang the number 020 3695 7506. An individual with an Indian accent, “Sam,” answered and gave me the reassuring news that the phone was now scheduled for delivery on Monday, assuring me it was dispatched. Here we are, and still no sign of the phone.
