I got a call from a bloke with a heavy Indian accent, claiming to be from some mobile company - never said which one though - trying to sell me a ‘great deal’ on a new SIM. When I asked how he managed to get my number, he said my own network handed it over to him? Bit strange, right? Why on earth would my provider share my info with a rival? Pretty clear it was a scam, so I told him to jog on and blocked the number straight away!

Received a phone call at 11am on Thursday. It was some chap trying to sell me a SIM deal. It took quite a bit of prodding before he finally revealed his employer - Carphone Warehouse, as it turns out. He claimed that O2 handed over my number to him. The offer was focused on an iPhone. I made it clear that I have no interest in iPhones and never will. In the end, my patience wore thin, and I told him where to go!

I've been pestered by this number for the past three days non-stop. The first time I answered, a bloke offered me a new phone deal from Carphone Warehouse, but I made it clear I wasn't interested. After that, I ended the conversation. The following day, the same number reached out to me again, and lo and behold, it was the same chap claiming to be Teal. I stood my ground and refused to divulge any personal details before promptly hanging up. Today, surprise, surprise, the same number rings yet again. This time, he’s calling himself John. To my utter disbelief, he referred to me as Steve, which I found quite insulting, seeing as I’m a woman. I firmly told him to stop calling me, but at first, he insisted I give him a chance. Eventually, I had to reiterate my request for him to cease contact, and, begrudgingly, he agreed. What a nuisance!
