SCAM ALERT! They act like they're from O2 and are very convincing, but don't trust them. I told them straight that I'd checked reviews online, and they insisted it wasn’t a scam. Well, it definitely is! BE CAREFUL and don't get caught out. I nearly had a brand new iPhone, worth over £1000, sent to an address in Manchester, plus a new device plan added to my O2 account. Luckily, I stopped it in time. I've reported it to O2 Fraud already.

TOTAL SCAM, watch out! They act like they're from O2 and they sound really convincing but its a trick. I even told them I searched online and saw some reviews, they tried to say its not a scam. Trust me, it is! Stay safe and don’t get caught out by these lot.

Tried to rip us off! Got loads of calls on my mum’s mobile from what they said were different firms (but actually it was the exact same number). They claimed they could fix some issue or other and asked for her complete personal info, even bank details. Absolute con artists. The number’s been blocked and I’ve reported it to Action Fraud UK, plus I've posted about it on my local news site. Best not to engage with these scammers.

020 3695 6428 rang me but cut off as soon as I picked up. Loads of scam calls coming from London numbers lately, so I just thought it was the usual tricksters. Probably got spooked by how I answered. Reckon they’re trying to target older folks who might be less sharp and easier to scam. It’s crazy that with all this tech nowadays, we still can’t get rid of these bloody scammers!

As an O2 customer with quite a bit of loyalty under my belt, I received a rather intriguing offer from them, promising a delightful 20% discount on my next three bills. They sent over a couple of messages that appeared to be entirely above board, but then things took a turn. This person, who claimed to be from O2, requested that I provide a six-digit code. Naturally, I wasn’t about to fall for that trick and firmly told them where to shove their demands, calling them foolish and telling them to bugger off.

I received a call from what I presumed was O2, but the person on the other end had quite an Indian accent. They were trying to pitch a £10-12 discount on a new phone contract, and every time they spoke to me, they kept using "ma'am." I asked them why they kept calling me that, and their response was peculiar; they said they meant "man" instead! Honestly, that was where I drew the line and ended the call. It’s not very professional for a reputable company to address someone in that manner. My advice? Just ignore such calls - hang up and block the number!

They rang me today. I quickly picked up with a sharp 'Hello!', then I caught someone mumbling something like 'ug' before they just ended the call. I reckon they might’ve realised my voice from a couple of weeks back when they called asking for personal info they should’ve already had if they were legit. So, I had a right laugh leading them off the trail. Messing about with scammers is pretty enjoyable, especially when you’re chatting with mates and your phone’s on loudspeaker.

Received a call today. I picked up promptly with a cheerful 'Hello!'. To my surprise, all I got in return was a muffled 'ugh' before they promptly disconnected. Perhaps they knew my voice - they’d called a couple of weeks back, fishing for personal information they ought to have already had if they were genuinely representing the phone company they claimed to be. I couldn’t resist having a bit of fun and leading them astray. There’s something wonderfully satisfying about wasting a scammer’s time, especially when you’ve got a few friends around and your phone’s on loudspeaker! It's absolutely priceless for entertainment.

When he read it back wrong, he wanted my EE password next. That’s when I got weirded out and said "no, I don’t remember". He kept pushing like "you seriously don’t remember?" I quickly made an excuse to end the call. Then he asked if he could ring me in the morning. I said yes just so I can mess with them. Absolute muppets, they have no idea who they're dealing with. This number has rung me a couple of times already this week, and it's only Tuesday. The guy had an accent that wasn’t English and his English was really bad, I couldn’t understand a single thing he was saying. So I decided to check the number and it’s from London, I think.

An individual with an Indian accent claimed to be representing 02, but when I expressed my disinterest, he decided to ring me back not once, but four times! Naturally, I chose not to pick up.

Someone said they were from O2 and offered me half off my bill - they were really pushy and kept ringing me back twice right after I ended the call, which I just blocked.

Bit suspicious if you ask me. The text looked pretty legit at first glance. But why on earth would O2 ring you up asking for my mum’s maiden name, my bank card numbers, or the answer to my security question just to offer a 50% off? The numbers that called me popped up as spam on the Hiya app, check it out yourself - https://www.hiya.com/products/protect. Sounds convincing, but I’m not falling for it! You can answer if you want, but I’m steering clear.

I received a phone call from a woman boasting a strong Indian accent, purporting to represent O2. She was raving about a remarkable and special offer, supposedly tailored just for me.

Got a message saying 02 is giving out a 50% off deal on phone bills. The text looked pretty legit with a one-time code and a warning not to share it with anyone, even their own staff. When I asked if there was a number I could ring back, the person nervously gave a London number that matched the caller ID but insisted I needed to reply to the text first before calling them back. They couldn’t confirm any of my details either. The message said *Watch out for scams* NEVER give out this code, not even to O2 people. To access your My O2 account, enter code ******. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, trying to push a phone deal on my current number. When I said no, she just hung up straight away! Seemed fishy to me - she got kinda annoyed when I told her I couldn’t hear her properly. Definitely felt like a scam.

This lady was shouting over a lot of noise saying she’s from “currys pc world” trying to sell me a new Samsung iPhone lol. I told her to take me off their list and she just hung up straight away.

Someone rang saying they were from Vodafone. At first, I thought maybe it was legit, but something felt off so I just ended the call. Now having read some posts about it, glad I didn't carry on chatting with them.
