Oh, I forgot to update my last comment: the moment I asked, “Could you repeat your name, please?” the caller just hung up straight away.

I was surprised to hear this tired trick still being played. The caller said something like, “Hi Mr [my name], this is Harry Williams from Microsoft, calling regarding your PC. Are you the regular user of this computer?” The bloke didn’t exactly sound like a genuine ‘Harry Williams’ - plus the pauses and odd background sounds made it pretty clear this was another dodgy call centre far away somewhere abroad.
