When I probed them about how I could verify their legitimacy, the call abruptly ended. Quite telling, wouldn’t you say?

They actually knew my name, email, and address, and told me I was shortlisted to win a prize. They wanted my bank details, like my sort code and account number, plus which bank I use, promising loads of lottery numbers if I gave it to them. When I said no, they put me through to someone else who just repeated the whole thing again. Really persistent bunch. I said no again and ended the call.
