When I probed further, they insisted that I'd entered through some baby monitor contest-something I haven’t even heard of! According to them, I was in line to snag a cool £10,000 as part of this syndicate, but they insisted on acquiring my bank details for a direct debit to claim my prize. Alarm bells were ringing, so I swiftly ended the call.
