This bloke claimed to be from Wise and even mentioned Wise while the call was going through Google screening, so I answered. He started asking about charges on my card, but something felt off so I decided to look up the number after hanging up. Turns out it was a scam. He rang me again, and I told him I wasn’t interested and was hanging up. He then shouted some really nasty insults before ending the call. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Some bloke claimed to be from Wise, saying they spotted a dodgy £1000 transfer. He had my email, card info, the lot. But I knew straight away it was a con since Wise never emailed me. The guy spoke with this flawless British accent and asked for a code they supposedly sent me. Of course, I didn’t give it to him. We just messed around to wind him up ‘til he ended up swearing and hung up. NEVER give out any code they ask for!

Received a call from 'Wise Bank' (Transferwise) about a supposed £1900 payment waiting to go to Hermes Paris. They had me verify my identity and send over a code. After that, the payment appeared to be processed. But honestly, a quick ring to Hermes Paris sorted everything out and the payment was cancelled straight away. If anyone else has had their bank contacted by these fraudsters, I’d suggest getting in touch with your bank asap.

SCAM ALERT! Got a call from this number saying they were from the Inland Revenue. Don't trust it. HMRC hardly ever contacts you by phone, text, WhatsApp, or email.
