These lot haven't been closed down yet, and the ringleader's definitely not behind bars, cos I just got another call from 02033070057. Throughout the whole summer, this annoying bloke who said his name was Dan Morgan, claiming to be from Wade and Vere, some so-called alternative investment firm, kept ringing me up. Now they're onto a new scam site, www.sterlingandcarter.co.uk. The FCA already put out a warning about the Christmas tree scam linked to ever-greensolutions.co.uk and sterlingandcarter as well (http://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/sterling-and-carter). Stay sharp, folks!

If you want to reach Francis Crawford, he’s been a sales rep for Wade and Vere for about three years now, but the company itself is pretty new - only around 15 months old and started by a rather shady director. You can ring him on 0203 69 500 20. At the moment, he's pushing an investment in Nordmann (Caucasian Fir) Christmas trees through Evergreen Farming & Forestry, based in Canary Wharf. Their website is ever-greensolutions.co.uk, launched back in November 2013, and their number there is 0203 307 0530. The money supposedly goes to Munnelly and Dunleavy Accountants Ltd, set up in January 2013, but there aren’t any official accounts lodged for them yet.

They use this number for telesales and claim to be a Wealth Management firm, but honestly, I wouldn't trust them at all. They should really be closed down.
