I didn’t pick up and no message was left, so it mustn't have been important. After reading what others said, I decided to just block the number.

i usually dont pick up phone numbers that i dont have saved and this one calls about once a month. it never leaves any voice messages and all the sites ive looked at say its some kind of scam. so ive just gone ahead and blocked it now.

I’ve been approached by an Umbrella company that seems to be reaching out to individuals looking for contract work. They operate on a commission structure to manage payroll. I got a call from them on my mobile on the 6th of August, 2020, and it was then I discovered more about what they do.

i strongly suggest blocking this number straight away. i called it from my spare pay as you go sim to figure out what was going on. on the line was a dodgy bloke with a strong bradford accent pretending to be from amazon prime. these scam numbers need to be shut down by ofcom, but knowing how useless the civil service is, they won't bother doing anything about it. total waste of time.

A few days back, our home phone rang and it was supposedly from Amazon. My husband picked up, but as soon as he realised it was one of those automated calls, he just ended the call. Thankfully, he doesn’t really know any banking stuff, so he wouldn’t accidentally share anything important even if fooled. I made sure to tell him that Amazon doesn’t normally call on landlines like that, so it’s almost certainly a scam.

They dont clearly say who they are or what the call is about, instead they make it seem like theres a job offer, but really theyre pushing you to use their umbrella company services.
