I got a call claiming it was from HMRC, saying a letter would be sent and some sort of action would happen if I didn't respond. They said if I wanted to talk to an officer, press 1. The person then said his name and asked for my full name, but I only gave part of it. Next, he wanted to know how long I’d been in the UK, and then asked for my National Insurance number. I told him it was ridiculous to ask for that without proving who he was, then he just hung up. Watch out, folks, there’s loads of dodgy people trying to scam us these days!
