My mum got caught out by this lot. A bit after the oven repair firm booked a visit and got her card info, her bank called her to say the card was cancelled because of some dodgy transactions. They noticed £120 had been taken. When her bank statement arrived, we spotted £50 paid to something called ‘planning for your future’ and that £120 payment went to a clothes company called Oh Polly Couture. Luckily, the bank gave her the money back, but then they sent us proof showing the clothes had been delivered to some workplace in Enfield - looks like someone was having stuff sent to their job. Seems they’re not only ripping people off but also living it up on the back of others’ hard luck.

I set up an appointment with this ‘company’, but they never showed up! I got in touch with them and they promised to refund my money, but guess what, no refund has come through. Totally ripped off!

So, I got a call on my home phone about some oven cleaning advert and booked a slot with them. They asked me for a little deposit, but the next day I noticed they had taken £60 from my account under the name "planning for the futu GBR". On the day they were supposed to come, no one showed up. When I rang the number they gave, they said the booking was actually two days later than I thought. Curious, I popped the number into my iPad to check who it belongs to, and it turned out to be from unknown.com. Turns out loads of others have been duped by these people too. They all spoke English, one had a faint Asian accent. Honestly, for anyone vulnerable or just cautious, best to ignore these phone adverts altogether. And keep this number handy if you wanna avoid the same hassle.

Called by a business that cleans ovens.

Got a call about oven cleaning and, naively, I booked a slot with them. They claimed to be from National Oven Cleaning and said the total fee was £60, asking upfront for a £30 deposit. Next day, I had a look at my bank and noticed £60 had been taken out under the name planning for you futu.GBR. Feeling pretty ripped off now. Watch out for this lot!
