somebody called sayin I’d been in a car crash, sounded dodgy so I asked what reg it was. I told them I’d crashed into the river and a shark took me arm off, then they just hung up. classic scam attempt.

They claimed to be from the local citizens advice and said I’d been in an accident. As soon as I interrupted and asked why my local citizens advice would be ringing me about that, they just ended the call. I’ve had loads of calls like this today, all supposedly from citizens advice but with different excuses like accidents or debt issues. It’s really frustrating.
