I got a call from a lady who spoke really clearly, asking if my washing machine was running fine. She then said my protection plan needed renewing and said the price had been cut down from £12 to £9.99. Luckily I’d just got the paperwork for my renewal so I knew that wasn’t right. I asked her what company she was with, and then she just ended the call. How on earth did they get hold of my info from Domestic & General?

Got a call saying my washing machine insurance was up, but the thing is, I never actually bought one in the first place. Proper dodgy if you ask me!

On the 6th of August 2021, someone rang me claiming to be from Domestic and General, saying my washing machine cover had run out. She mentioned that no renewal letters had been sent because their entire team was off sick with covid. I told her I'd think it over the weekend and asked her to ring me again on Monday.

This lady called saying she was from Domestic and General, claiming my washing machine's warranty had run out and the cover was no longer valid. When I asked why I hadn't got any letter about it, she said the people who send them are off sick with covid. I looked up my policy and it clearly shows it’s good till September 2021. Felt like a total scam to me.

This morning my landline rang and I got some recorded voice saying, “Sorry, the person you are trying to reach is not available right now, apologise for the inconvenience.” Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam, so watch out.
