I received a rather curious phone call not long ago. They started off by verifying my name and address before claiming to represent a charity. Then they cheekily asked which cause I would prefer to support-something to do with cancer, if I recall correctly. Well, I couldn't help but respond that charity begins at home! The caller had quite a strong Scottish accent, which I found rather amusing, given that I’m here in Scotland myself.

I've found this number to be quite the bothersome presence in my home lately.

I just received a call where the person on the line suggested I might have a letter about crime prevention arriving soon. When I inquired if it was the police contacting me and pressed for the name of the organisation, they seemed rather put out by my curiosity and promptly ended the call. Quite dodgy behaviour, if you ask me!
