She asserted she was from Carphone Warehouse and mentioned some sort of "40 discount" on a new SIM card. Apparently, my number had mysteriously appeared in their system. When I asked her where she was located, her response completely baffled me, and she refused to disclose how they'd acquired my number. She simply responded with a dismissive "nevermind" before promptly ending the call.
