They claimed to be from Virgin Media’s legal department but it was obvious it was just a call centre. They told me there were issues with my internet connection, I told them I wasn’t bothered and then the person started threatening to disconnect both our internet and phone line. The whole tone was really rude and pushy, no sign of proper customer care. If that was the genuine Virgin Media legal team, I was disappointed.

I received a call from this number earlier today. An Indian woman informed me that my details were linked to a purchase attempt worth £79.99 on Amazon Prime, allegedly made by someone in Tokyo. When I mentioned that I would check in with Amazon Prime directly, she became quite irate and exclaimed that I was asking for my funds to be taken away! It's quite astonishing how these scammers operate, isn’t it?

Like someone else said, this bloke only shops around five times a year, which is pretty much how often I do as well. Weirdly, I started getting these calls right after I signed up for the Prime trial. When I tried to cancel, that's when the calls started flooding in. Amazon seriously needs to tighten up their security because this clearly shows there's a leak somewhere. Just a heads up to everyone!

I received a rather peculiar phone call alerting me to what they claimed was a dodgy £300 Amazon gift card transaction, and they were querying whether I should cancel it. They dodged all my questions, going in circles and leaving me utterly baffled. They said they were from Visa, yet shared the wrong company details and provided an address that's not even the correct one for Visa in London. It seems they were keen to discover how they accessed my card information, which suggests they may have intended to gain access to my computer! I must admit, their persistence was impressive! Eventually, they mentioned a debit card linked to Barclays-which I found amusing, considering I don’t even bank with them. I wrapped up the call after about 40 minutes, just to buy some time and potentially protect others from falling victim to their scam. But now, alas, I’ve got to dive back into my work!

I received a call from a woman who had an Indian accent, claiming to be inquiring about my internet service. I kindly declined her offer and hung up. It's utterly frustrating-can we not find a way to tackle these scam calls? My heart goes out to those who might be tricked by these deceitful hacking attempts. It seems to me that the authorities ought to take action against such shady practices.

Received a call claiming to be from TalkTalk, stating there was an issue with my internet connection. They insisted I switch on my laptop so they could "verify" the signal. The caller ominously warned that if I didn’t comply, my service would be terminated within 42 days. I decided it was best to hang up and block the number right away!

Received a suspicious call without any sound - definitely a scam.

They cut off as soon as I picked up, and this isn’t the first instance either-it's rather irritating, to say the least!

I received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to represent my so-called internet provider…Virgin Media. Up popped my first alarm bell; I’m not even with them! The chap rammed on about internet security issues and hackers supposedly breaching my line. When I cheekily asked if he earned a salary or worked on commission based on how many people he managed to dupe, he outright laughed off the notion of being a scam artist! He even had the audacity to say my name was something like D. Walker. Honestly, BT ought to tighten their game on vetting who they hand out lines and numbers to, because as soon as one gets shut down, it seems like another twenty pop up! Those lowlife scammers deserve all the misfortune that comes their way.

I received a call from this number not once, but twice within the span of a day. It was quite eerie, as there was no conversation, just the unsettling sound of someone breathing on the line. Definitely smells like another dodgy scam call to me!

This number rang me earlier. I picked up but kept quiet, and they just ended the call straight away. Checked online and it looks like it might be a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent saying he was from Virgin Media Broadband. He reckoned someone in California was trying to hack into my internet. He started asking odd stuff like how many lights were flashing on my router and how many gadgets were connected to my wifi. I kept quiet and didn’t reply to any of it. Then he warned me that they'd cut off my broadband for 45 days if I didn't comply, and just ended the call. Felt like a scam straight away.

Luckily BT Call Blocking sorted it out for me. It stopped the number from ringing again and even wiped the call from my log. Sorted!

Got a call from somewhere in Stoke on Trent today but they didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. Pretty strange.
