So, today I got a call from 020 3667 9499. Over the past week, a couple of other numbers close to that one kept ringing me too - 0202 3667 9496 and 020 3667 9353. When I checked out these numbers online, loads of people had reported them as scams or fraud attempts. My phone labelled them as spam straight away so I’ve just blocked all three. It’s pretty suspicious that they all share such a similar telecom prefix.

Got a call from some housing repair lot trying to scam me, even though I’m not living in London. They said I could get some cash back for repairs that supposedly weren't done right. This isn’t the first time either, loads of calls like this. The bloke on the phone couldn’t even get my name right so I just ended up hanging up.

There was no way he could say my name right. His accent was so thick, like he was speaking through some kind of translation software, making his voice all weird and distorted. I told him I was struggling to understand him and just ended the call. I didn’t stick around to find out what sort of scam he was trying to pull.

Some bloke said he was calling from yell.com, but I told him I wasn’t interested since I had a rubbish experience advertising with them before. Still, this (ack) #### just kept going on and on, didn’t seem to care what I said. In the end, I just told him to #### off, hope that gets the message across! Blocked straight away.
