Watch out for this one, seriously. Sounds like these are hackers scanning for PBX systems by calling at all hours to check if there’s an answerphone or if the system’s left unattended. I got caught up in this once, so now I’ve saved the number on my phone - I either ignore it or answer and don’t say a word. You can always give ’em a mouthful, but honestly, it won’t change much! Seems like loads of countries have protections against stuff like this, but here in the UK, the government is so close to BT they won’t lift a finger to stop it.

I've been receiving calls every single day and eventually decided to pick up. An Asian lady claimed she was inquiring about my business's electricity bill, which is amusing since we don’t have one! I pressed her on this point, and she even had the postcode of my accountant, clearly having sourced it from online information. She’s definitely going on my blocked list as a scammer!

I've received numerous calls over the past fortnight, predominantly from a chap who seems rather irate and insists on speaking to a bloke or a manager. His demeanor has been quite obnoxious and rather disrespectful. After one particularly heated exchange, I endured a barrage of calls for about 15 minutes. The latest incident occurred today when he absurdly claimed to have conversed with a former company director just last week, despite the fact that this director has been deceased for the past two years! When the current director (a gentleman) picked up the phone, the caller exclaimed, "Finally, a man!" The director made it crystal clear that further communication was not welcome. Since then, I’ve received four more calls, with some being automated messages purporting to be from Scottish Power, while others have left me hanging with silence on the other end. Quite the nuisance, to say the least!

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming they were from an electricity company, wanting to chat with whoever handles the electricity contracts. What an absolute nuisance! These folks purport to represent some government body concerning funding grants for small enterprises, claiming that I submitted an application back in 2014. It’s baffling! They incessantly ring me, bombarding me with questions on how this non-existent grant has supposedly benefitted my non-existent business over the last few years. The truth is, I’ve never sought out this grant and quite frankly, I don’t even run a business. I’ve made it clear to them again and again, yet they persist. I receive two to three calls daily, every single day! I've told them in no uncertain terms to clear off, but they just won’t stop. I don’t have caller ID, so I feel obliged to answer every call, and the number they leave is not legitimate, so blocking them is futile!
