I received a call from some chap claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering to upgrade my mobile plan. The thing is, I’ve never actually had a contract with them, which made it a doddle to conclude this was nothing more than a dodgy scam.

From what I’ve found online, this number seems to just drop the call right away. Sounds like it might be tied to some kind of phishing scam where they’re checking if someone picks up.

someone rang me up claiming to be from carphone warehouse, saying they could upgrade my phone deal. problem is, i’ve never even gotten a phone from them. i didn’t give out any info and the moment i said no, they just ended the call.
