Got a call from a bloke named Adam Green at Barclays, mentioned some ref number like VMA1948 and asked me to ring back. Not sure what’s that about.

Definitely a Barclays scam. They kept pushing through to their live chat and asked me to sign in to my bank account. I mentioned I’d log in from another device and got met with silence. That’s when I saw what they were up to and decided to humour them to watch how far they'd go. In the end, I accepted their suggestion about visiting a branch to set my account up again.
