They hacked into my account and bought phones worth £1600 without me agreeing to anything. They also changed my passwords. I told O2 about it and they sorted it out, but then they got back in again and I had to report it once more.O23 yearsA chap rang me claiming to be from O2, saying they were slashing my monthly rate to a mere £7 since my contract was nearly up (which is indeed the case). He proceeded to mention that I would receive a couple of texts from O2; the first would alert me to supposed fraudulent activity, and the second would provide a verification code (which I did get). Then he asked me for that code to supposedly confirm my identity. I firmly told him no, citing the warning that I should never share the code with anyone, not even O2 staff. He became quite irate with me, so I swiftly ended the call. Just a heads up to everyone-if you haven’t specifically requested a code from O2, DO NOT share it with anyone, including their representatives!
