11 monthsSCAM ALERT. Someone with a funny accent pretending to be from a phone provider trying to sell me stuff.11 monthsThis bloke pretended to be from EE. They start off with some nonsense about your 5G, then ask you to share a reset PIN. The message looks proper cause it comes from EE’s number, but if you hand over the PIN, they take over your account and lock you out. Luckily, I caught on quick and rang EE straight away. They locked my account right away so the scammers didn’t get a chance to nick anything. About 20 minutes later, they rang me again with the same rubbish about 5G. They even got another PIN sent to me, but that’s when I told them to jog on. Seriously, watch out for this!EE11 monthsGot a call claiming that EE and BT are joining forces, offering to post me a brand new SIM for free tomorrow. The call felt a bit off, so I’m on the phone with EE now trying to sort it out. Quite a strange situation, makes me nervous.EEBT11 monthsYep, got the same here, someone pretending to be EE and sending me texts aswell! Just ignore and block em, seriously.11 monthsI never pick up when the caller ID just says "Unknown," especially if they don't leave a voicemail. I always check the number on Who-Called-me first. They've got a really good service for this kinda thing.11 monthsSaid it was from EE customer support. But I’ve gotten a few calls like that lately. I just went straight to “You’re a scam, stop calling” and hung up sharpish.EE11 monthsAbsolutely horrible.11 monthsBeware of the EE BT sim swap scam! They actually access the EE website and send pins using EE's own text number!! They claim it's because of the BT merger and say you need a new sim. They try to lure you in with free gifts and discounts, but it ends with them sending you a phone you never asked for. Seriously, don’t fall for it. ** EE only contacts you from mobile numbers.**EEBT11 monthsThe bloke had a really thick South Asian accent but told me his name was Mark and that he was ringing from EE. I just hung up straight away.MarkEE11 monthsGot a call from EE about a SIM swap, but the accents were so thick I could barely make out a word - even harder to understand than loads of actual call centres I’ve dealt with!EE11 monthsI picked up expectin a call from a service tech but the person on the line had a thick accent and was hard to follow. They said something about EE merging with BT and some rubbish about my sim card. Didn’t make much sense so I just ended it and blocked the number. Total spam.EEBT11 monthsCalled my phone but, like always, didn’t bother leaving a voicemail.11 monthsSaid he was from EE and said he was calling because of the merger since I’m apparently a current customer. I cut him off quick tho since I haven't been with EE for ages.EE11 monthsGot a call from them and all they left was a quick 30 second message of people talking in the background at an office.12 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be EE, saying my SIM had to be updated or it’d be disconnected shortly.12 monthsThis number rang me three times around 1pm today but didn’t leave any voicemail. I haven’t rang back, and after seeing what others say, I’m going to block it now.12 monthsI didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave any message, after reading the comments I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.
