8 yearsI got a call from someone speaking with a strong accent, maybe Indian or something, not entirely sure. It felt fishy, like a scam, but I wasn't 100% certain at first. I asked them for my account number to check, and they gave me a completely wrong one. When I pointed it out, the guy just lost it and shouted something like "F*** off, you motherf***er" before hanging up. So yeah, no doubt now, it was a scam. Be careful and don't trust these calls.India8 years0203 6438655 This is the third time they’ve rang me. The latest call hung up right after I answered, so it felt like some sort of automated system. The second call was definitely a recorded message, said it was from Talk Talk. I tried 1471 but it just showed as an anonymous number. The first call was some bloke claiming to be from Talk Talk, telling me there was an issue with my internet and that my wifi password had been hacked. I was like, seriously? He insisted. I said that’s strange coz I’m not even with Talk Talk. Then he just hung up. Doing 1471 again, still no number showed up.8 yearsGot a call about a fault with my broadband line but turned out to be a scam.8 yearsTotally a scam, just hang up straight away!8 yearsGot a call earlier today from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, but it’s the same old scammers that used to say they were from BT. They must have loads of phone numbers to ring from, cos every time they call it shows up as a different number. Absolutely dodgy!TalkTalkBT8 yearsIt just came up as unavailable on my phone, which usually means the caller’s location is hidden. I didn’t pick up and added the number straight to my blocked list.8 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Talk Talk. He told me my router had a virus and needed to get into my computer to check it out. When I asked him questions, he claimed the police couldn't do anything about him and that his location was a secret. I ended up reporting the whole thing to the police.8 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with Talk Talk, but I really think it was another dodgy caller. Honestly, why is it so hard for phone companies and the do-not-call list to stop these annoying calls? It’s really frustrating!Telephone Preference Service8 yearsThey spoke in really bad English, then told me I was busy before quickly hanging up. Managed to catch the name TalkTalk though.8 yearsSo, first thing on a Saturday, I get this rubbish call from someone pretending to be from TalkTalk, saying there’s some technical issue with my internet. I just told him thanks for "checking in," then wished him well and hoped he’d find a better way to earn money instead of trying to scam folks.TalkTalk8 yearsSomeone rang me pretending to be from TalkTalk saying my service would be cut off. I just told them to buzz off and ended the call straight away.TalkTalk8 yearsGot a call earlier today from someone saying they were with TalkTalk, telling me there was a problem with my internet and that my connection was at risk so they’d cut me off. They wouldn’t really answer any of my questions, even though they knew my postcode. I tried to say I’d ring back to sort it out, but they just ended the call before I even got their name.TalkTalk8 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise even though I use BT call guard. I tried ringing it back from another phone and it's always busy. After having a look at the comments here, seems like it's probs a scam. If it was someone from TalkTalk, I would've just heard them out and then told them I'm with BT anyway and ended the call.TalkTalkBT8 yearsGot a call supposedly from TalkTalk tech support yet again. I told them TalkTalk never makes calls like that, and then one of them just hung up on me. One time it was some woman calling herself Laura, next time a bloke named Logan. Total nonsense.TalkTalkLauraLogan8 yearsSomebody rang claiming to be from Talk Talk's tech support, saying there was an issue with my internet. When I asked for her phone number to report the call, she just cut me off straight away.TalkTalk8 yearsSome bloke rang saying he was from BT, claiming my router had issues and wasn't secure. He asked me to look at how many lights were blinking on my router. But I knew my router only has a single light, so that made me a bit wary about the call. He also mentioned the light was green, but I knew mine looked different. So I ended the call and didn’t pick up again till someone rang me first.BT8 yearsGot a call last weekend from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk saying there was an issue with my internet and asked me to check the lights on the router. I told them if they were legit they’d already know what router I’ve got and exactly how many lights should be on or flashing. They just ended the call. Then they rang me again today saying my internet was unstable and threatening to disconnect it. I told them everything was fine on my end and then they just hung up.TalkTalk8 yearsLoads of these calls coming through for me too. When I’m not busy, I let them talk for a bit before telling them to jog on.
