Since I went to the ideal home show in March, they have been ringing me nonstop. I joined a competition there and they keep saying they’ve got updates about my entry.

I usually don't pick up calls from unknown numbers, but I do look them up first and might ring back (keeping my number private) if it seems worth it. Not today though!! I live in the UK and it feels like these callers just blatantly ignore the Telephone Preference Service rules, not to mention GDPR. Hopefully the ICO can step in and stop them, maybe even take away their earnings!

Got a call saying I could have won something at the ideal home show, which I actually did visit. I can’t quite remember if I entered any holiday raffles there though. They asked me to verify my age bracket, marital status and if I earn over £30,000. Then they tried to pitch me a really cheap holiday to the Costa del Sol. I told them I wasn't interested. After seeing some of the past comments here, I’ve decided to block the number now.

Got a call saying I'd won a prize from signing up at the Ideal Home show. I asked for details and they said I could possibly win a holiday. I replied, "I thought you just said I’d won." Then told them not to bother me and ended the call.

Got a call today, they said I'd won a holiday for six for £1000 from some Home show event. Then they passed me to someone else who started asking for all sorts of personal info and told me to collect my prize near Regent Street. When I asked who they were, they just told me to look them up in Hello magazine. They were also probing about my income and whether I have kids. Now they say they'll post an offer to me. Not sure what nonsense they'll come up with next... definitely feels like a scam to me.

I told him no one puts personal info on surveys, who would do that? He just kept saying it was to check. Then he asked if I’d been with my partner for over 12 months. I was like, who even asks stuff like that on a survey? He kept pushing about 'other info'. I just told him to never call me again.

someone said i won a prize for completing a survey but i never took one. first they told me it was from prizes uk, but when i asked for more info, the lady said it was from tlc world travel. ive never come across that company before and defo never did any surveys with them. seems like a total scam to me. honestly cant wait for gdpr rules to make this nonsense stop!

holiday timeshare company cic world didn’t pick up, didnt leave any message either. I rang them back and just got voicemail. They asked if I wanted to be taken off their call list but told them to email instead, no way they’re gonna waste my time. From now on I’ll just ignore unknown numbers, if it’s really important they’ll leave a message.
