Got a call from a woman claiming she was with Platinum Homecare, saying my washing machine warranty was up, which it definitely isn't. I told her that my warranty isn't from their company and I wouldn't deal with them since she was clearly being dishonest. Total scam, stay away.

Got a call from a woman claiming my appliance warranty was insured 24/7, but there was loads of noise in the background. She kept insisting it wasn't a scam, but it sounded dodgy to me.

Lately, we've been getting a few calls from Appliance 24/7 saying the warranty on our washing machine had run out and trying to sell some sort of cover for it and other kitchen gadgets. They somehow knew our house address but got the warranty expiry date totally wrong, and it’s been off every time for the past seven years. The lady caller asked if she could ring back after I looked into it, but I told her not to bother. I've now blocked the number. Plus, it was really hard to catch what she was saying because there was loads of noise on both sides during the call.

This number rang me twice today saying my washing machine warranty had expired. When I told them I wasn’t interested, I just hung up. The second time they said that the company had never called me before, but I found it really annoying since I already said no thanks. They kept pushing way too much.

Got another call from this number after about ten days, didn’t pick up on both occasions and there was no voicemail left either time.

Got a call again today from someone asking for a Swain. Our number’s only been with us for about a year, Virgin Media gave it to us, and it’s on the TPS list - doesn’t seem to help much though. We’re constantly bombarded by "Amazon Prime" calls too, with those dodgy recorded messages. Feels like maybe the folks making those fake recordings should be held accountable? Just throwing that out there. The voice on the other end today sounded like it might have been Aussie?

Got a ring from this number earlier, someone saying they were from Appliance Care. They told me the warranty on my washing machine had run out. I thought about humouring them, but didn’t really fancy the hassle. Ended up just leaving the phone alone and seeing how long it took for them to figure they were chatting to nobody.

A woman called claiming to be from my washing machine insurance company, speaking with a strange foreign accent. She tried to get me to confirm my bank info to renew my policy. I refused to share any details and asked if she was checking if I was over 60. Then she just dropped the call. The number rang again a few times but I didn't pick up. These scam calls are getting so annoying!

Got a call from some bloke called Jason, says he’s from Covent Garden, trying to push me to buy an extended warranty for my appliances. He was saying if the details don’t match, it must be the store’s mistake where I bought the stuff. Didn’t buy any of it and just ended the call.

So apparently I supposedly had a warranty on my washing machine that had run out. When I asked them which brand and model they were talking about, they said it covers any machine, no matter the kind! Curious, I requested their financial services registration number because, you know, if they're legit, they’d have to be registered with the financial conduct authority. Instead of an answer, I got told to “f*** off” and then they just hung up on me. Weird and unprofessional!

Got a call earlier today saying my washing machine’s warranty was about to expire. I asked them which machine they meant, and they said it was a Hotpoint. I told them I’ve never had a Hotpoint in my house. Before they could even respond, I gave them a proper telling off. How do people like that not feel bad about what they’re doing? I really worry about old people and those who are vulnerable - imagine if someone tricked someone in their family like this. These sorts of con artists are awful, and honestly, it’s about time something was done to put a stop to this rubbish. You’d think with all the tech nowadays, it wouldn’t be so easy for these people to keep getting away with it.

This number has been trying to get through the last few days while I was out. Today, I was home and my phone actually rang, which is odd because I'm ex-directory, on the TPS list and use call blocking. I chose not to pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail. I’m wondering who’s given my number away - feels like a scam to me.
