Just got a call from 0203 6423536 telling me my washing machine warranty had ended - that can’t be right, I bought it like three weeks ago! I was curious, so I asked what brand it was, and he replied Indesit. Mine isn’t Indesit, but it's a pretty popular brand so maybe he guesses. From what others say, they probably try to get your bank info next. Definitely seems dodgy.

I got a call from a lady called Kim, sounded like she had an Indian accent. She was chatting about my washing machine's warranty or something like that. When I asked her to say what brand my machine was, she said that wasn’t her thing and she just handled warranties. Told her exactly what I think about people who pull this rubbish and ended the call. Honestly, these calls come through every day and seem to go mostly after folks over 60.

Got a call from someone pushing a warranty for a washing machine. They somehow had my name and postcode too, which was a bit creepy. Definitely sounded like a scam.

Got a call from someone about home appliances and it screamed scam to me. I just checked their official website and the number they gave me wasn’t the same, plus that Platinum Plan costs £225 a year there - which is way more than half price! I’m trying to send them an email with what happened, but honestly, this feels like a total SCAM to me now.

I just got a call from this number saying my Indesit washing machine’s warranty was up. The woman on the line even knew my address and postcode, which freaked me out a bit. She asked for my bank card info but I told her I never share that on calls. She was really pushy about it though. Got a random call from a bloke who said his name was 'Mike', though honestly, he didn’t sound like one. He claimed he was ringing from 'Appliance Care 24/7'. 'Mike' went on about my Indesit washing machine warranty being out of date and offered to sort a renewal. Funny thing is, I’ve never owned, nor do I have, an Indesit machine! 'Mike' was straight up making it all up. It’s obvious he’s after your bank info to scam you out of your cash. Don’t fall for it - just ignore, hang up, and block the number. Definitely report him to Action Fraud as well.
