Got a call about the Village Hall’s electric supply again. They said they were from a business energy provider at first, but as soon as I mentioned not wanting to go through any middlemen, they claimed to be the actual supplier for the Hall. When I asked which company it was, they couldn’t give me a straight answer.

I reckon these con artists are getting their info from the Charity Commission site, especially village halls' contacts. I had a few calls from a Glasgow number before, so this seems like the same sort of scam. They called again today even though I’d blocked them yesterday. I just tell them no when they ask anything, then mute the call until they give up and hang up.

I received calls on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of June, and on that last one they actually left a voicemail asking for the treasurer of my scout troop. The only place my number could have come from is the charity commission, since I’m the main contact and it’s not public anywhere else. They rang again on the 11th of July and left another message. Both callers spoke with an Asian accent but used typical western names like "Daniel" and "Andy." One caller brought up a utility bill, the other said they were the accounts manager. Pretty sure this is a scam.

Got a call today from this number, someone said they could lower the electricity rates for the charity I’m involved with. I felt a bit iffy about it and requested an email detailing the offer. It’s quite evident that the review mentioned above is inauthentic and lacks credibility. They operate as a broker, and honestly, a rather questionable one at that. Despite appearing to have a UK presence, they don’t actually operate out of the UK. They merely utilise a UK phone line. Furthermore, far from being complimentary, their service isn't without charge.

I had a rather pleasant conversation with a chap from this number who assisted me in securing reduced rates for our village hall.
