Got a call today from someone claiming my Meile washing machine warranty had run out. I dusted off the manual to double-check, and the purchase date is right there on the front - bought it back in November 2007 with a ten-year guarantee. A woman with an English accent said it only covers the drum, but I told her it was for the whole machine. She couldn’t really explain and just hung up. Then yesterday, I got another call from a man who sounded Indian, who asked what brand my washing machine was. I told him Meile, and now I’m convinced these calls are connected.
