Got a call from a woman about a boiler service contract for my previous place (I only moved out a week ago). She didn’t have any info and said she’d check and get back to me in an hour. Never heard from her again, and when I rung them up saying I’d already talked to someone that morning, they just ended the call on me.

On 02/05/2018, I got a call from a young bloke with that classic sales pitch voice, saying my boiler was due for insurance or service. I asked him how long we've supposedly been with Appliance Services, and he said "ages". I called him a lying scumbag, told him my husband’s gas safe registered and fitted our boiler, and we've never had any dealings with Appliance Services. Then he just hung up.

Got a call earlier today at 12:47pm from someone claiming to be from Appliance Protection, trying to sell me a TV insurance renewal. I said I never had any such plan, then the bloke said it was set up back in 2014 under Mr and Mrs B. I explained my husband had passed away two years before that, so no chance I’d renewed anything. He was asking for Mrs Turner. I told him I’m sick to death of debt collectors ringing for her for the last three years. I asked who he was and he claimed to service Mrs Turner’s appliances. I wasn’t buying it. He then said Mrs Turner was old and must’ve given the wrong number. I didn’t believe that either. Then he said I was being really rude and said he’d help me by informing her, but since I was rude, he refused. Complete rubbish if you ask me.

Just got a call from this number saying my TV and box insurance was about to run out. When I asked who it was, they claimed to be from Appliance Care. After a few choice words (let’s just say not polite ones), I made it clear I’ve never had, nor will I ever have, any of their rubbish insurance. He got all narked at me, which honestly made me chuckle. I warned him if he calls again, he’s gonna get the same or worse abuse from me, and I’ll be recording it for evidence. Proper scammer - deserve a serious kick up the backside.

I missed a call so I rang back and they said it was about some drainage insurance I’m not even signed up to. Told the bloke to buzz off pretty bluntly. Then I called again but this time I dialled 141 before the number to keep it private, and cheekily asked for his nan’s phone number so I could have a laugh and scam her instead. He flat out said no, which was kinda funny. Had a good laugh, might do it again just for the fun of it. Made me feel a bit better.

Told them my hubby handles that and asked them to ring after 7pm, but they never bother. Today they said I wouldn't get any discount if so, then just hung up on me. Before, the caller insisted he was from Sky, then rang back before 7pm, and when I called him out on lying, the call just cut off.
