Looks like they’re back at it… Got a call from them on the 21st of June, trying to get me to renew my washer insurance - obvious scam if you ask me. Told them I wasn’t interested and they just hung up on me. Well, they’ve just called again but I didn’t even pick up, straight to blocking the number. I’m sure they’ll ring from another number later on, but there’s no chance I’m falling for it again.

A caller claimed to be from Appliance Cover and asked if I was over 60, which I said no to, then they asked if I was over 50, which I am. They then mentioned a discount based on my age. They wanted my bank details, including sort code and account number, to set up a Direct Debit. I refused to give that info. They even tried to put me through to someone else, saying it was the manager for reassurance, but I wasn’t convinced. I told them to send me something in writing first, and that no deal was happening over the phone.
