Just got a call from a number that changes every few mins, it's so annoying and feels like harassment. These scammers use apps to create loads of fake numbers and pretend to be legit companies, it's got to be illegal cos they're clearly trying to scam people like us. This needs sorting fast!

This guy rang and just blurted out my name like he knew me, no greeting or anything. He said my name all weird and then told me he was gonna delete my number. Then goes "didn't you hear me?" I said yeah, but not properly. He got all annoyed saying I wasn’t paying attention and hung up. What even?? Properly freaked me out. Sounded like he was shouting over music or in a club or somethin. Definitely unsettling. Someone needs to deal with this kinda stuff.

It’s the same story, just a different number each time. Trying to get taken off their list is pointless. So I bought a survival whistle for £1.29 on eBay. Honestly, I can only guess how much that blasted their eardrums when I used it. The amount of calls I get has dropped by half since. Definitely suggest getting one!

This number called me and I picked up, assuming it was just a regular 0203 line. As soon as I answered, the woman on the other end started coughing and then hit me with all the typical questions about some accident report. She even had my name right. Some accident claims firm rang me up, already had all my details like my name and address. They said my info was given to them by some accident advice bureau, was that alright? They claimed I’d had an accident in the past 3 years and might be able to claim compensation. When I said I hadn’t, they started asking about any accidents or negligence from the NHS? Told them they were breaching Data Protection Act 1998 with my sensitive data and demanded their office address so I could report them to the Information Commissioner. Said they might face a £20k penalty. They ended up hanging up! :)

When I asked what injury it was, the woman just said it might be anything, like a fall, a trip, or a car crash. I then asked how they could say I’m entitled to compensation without even knowing if it was a serious injury or just a small scratch. Not shocking, she ended the call right there. Gotta love these friendly spam calls, eh? :D
