I had a call from this number tonight around 7.30 as well. The caller asked me if I had some money to put into investments. When I said I wasn’t interested, I just ended the call. Funny thing was, they knew my name but totally guessed wrong on my age. Very strange.

Got a call around 4:30 this afternoon. The person on the line said I’d be getting a voucher soon for Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Morrisons. They began asking stuff like my age and favourite holiday spot, which felt a bit off. Oddly, they already had my name and postcode. I told them I wasn’t comfortable with the questions and asked them to just send the voucher, then ended the call. They hung up fast after that. These kinds of calls are really annoying and need to be banned. The guy had a thick accent and was hard to follow.

Got a call at 1.20pm on 30th Jan, sounded like it was from some call centre cos there was a weird lag before she spoke. Asked me my name and if I shopped at Sainsbury's. She spoke English with the strangest accent, kinda like a mix between Bronx and something out of a school teacher from a film. Told her I was feeling poorly and she just hung up. Maybe I’m a bit daft, but whats the point of these calls?? Not sure if it’s dodgy or not, so I’ve flagged it as harassment anyway.

A woman called and chatted with my mum, claiming to be from BT. She then said she had my mum's address and started asking about the appliances in our home. My mum got a bit wary and asked her to confirm she was really from BT, and the caller insisted that she was. Mum told her she was happy to do any survey but wouldn’t share personal info on the phone and asked if they could send a form by post instead. That’s when the caller just hung up. Just a heads up, this definitely feels like a scam.

If you're with BT, their free CALL PROTECT service does a brilliant job at screening and blocking these annoying calls. Ever since I signed up last week, it’s been great - my phone barely rings now. Got a call from a woman who said she had some questions for me. I asked her how she got my number since I'm ex-directory and on the TPS. She claimed it came from a list with my address, which sounds dodgy to me. Then she said she liked my voice - total rubbish! She said she was from a company called Unicare. I asked her if I sounded like a bloke and told her we don’t entertain cold callers. She kept going with her rehearsed lines and said she was calling from Uni-care. I once again told her we don’t accept cold calls, then she just hung up.
