This number has called me one time already. The lady who answered asked for my name and then said she was from the Boiler Company. I was suspicious straight away, thinking it might be some sort of scam. Turns out I was right, she must have noticed I was unsure and quickly ended the call without another word. Someone called me saying my insurance company gave them my number, but that’s not possible as my insurer doesn’t have this phone on record. I double checked with my insurance company and they confirmed they never shared my details or authorised any calls. When I rang the caller back, they seemed quite unprepared and a bit rattled to be receiving a call themselves! The noise and talking in the background made it clear it wasn’t a proper call centre, just sounded like a scam. I’ve reported it straight to Ofcom.
