This is a claims company bothering me. I've taken to saving their number in my contacts under "Nuisance Claims" so I'll know when they ring me again. Rather than simply blocking the number, I choose to pick up the call. By doing this, I can ensure they waste their time and resources. Just a heads-up: don’t engage with them or listen to their spiel. Instead, let them prattle on while you get on with your day - it's a cost to them in the end. If enough of us do this every time these irritating calls come through, the expenses for these firms will soar and they’ll have to reconsider their tactics. Simply blocking their numbers won’t really hurt them, as they’ll just switch to a different number using dialling systems that don’t tire them out. We need to make it unaffordable for them to keep up these cold calls. The unfortunate truth is that the government benefits financially from these companies, so there's little chance they’ll intervene. I've noted down more than 60 numbers under "Nuisance Claims" for easy reference. Please pass this on to your mates, so that we can all band together and put a stop to these unwelcome cold calls!

There’s this claims company that keeps ringing me. I’ve saved their number in my phone as “Pest Claims” so I know exactly who’s calling next time. Instead of just blocking them, I actually pick up and let the call connect. I don’t engage or listen properly, but letting the call run wastes their time and money. If loads of folks started doing this, these companies would find it costs more to keep calling than they make, and they might just stop. Simply blocking their number doesn’t work as well because they just switch to new ones and keep at it with automated calls. So, the best way is to make cold calling a hassle for them. The government won’t crack down since they probably get tax from these companies. I’ve got over 60 “Pest Claims” numbers saved now. Pass this tip to your mates - maybe then these annoying cold calls will dwindle!

this claims outfit keeps ringing me 3 or 4 times daily from different numbers. they always leave an automated voicemail saying you can call back to opt out. had enough so I blocked them.
