Been getting calls from this number for ages and just kept hanging up, but today I accidentally answered. The caller said they were from Currys and mentioned we’d just bought a TV there - which was suspicious. They definitely weren’t from Currys. I pretended I was expecting their call, then made an excuse and said they’d ring back later. Obviously, I blocked the number straight away. I’ve had other calls from that part of London too, and whenever I block one, a new number pops up from the same place with the same story.

Got a call from someone saying they could arrange new broadband for me. They asked who my current provider was and other stuff. Got a call from someone this morning claiming there’s a case against me with the HMRC. The bloke called me daft when I didn’t get what he was saying. Somebody called saying they were from BT but I told them I’m with Virgin, not BT. They said my line was somehow rented from BT and warned my computer would be offline for an hour because it was full of viruses. I told them I don’t even own a computer, just a phone. The guy was really cheeky about the whole thing.

I've been getting calls from about three to six different numbers daily, all with the same area code. I usually just ignore them but it's getting really irritating now. I called one back and heard "SIMPLIFY DIGITAL" on the voicemail before even speaking to anyone - sounds like some sort of broadband company. It's driving me mad. I'm a nurse at work and my son's school rings loads because of his long-term health issues, so every time my phone rings I think it's them. Next time they call, they’re going to get told off. This has been happening for weeks! From what I’ve read, others have already reported it to the police. What a total pain.

The simplest way to deal with these calls (and others like them) is to get the Whoscall app. Just label the number as Broadband Sales or something along those lines, set the category to Sales/Harassment, and block it. The best bit is, it then shows up as Sales/Harassment on other people’s phones with Whoscall too, so they can block it easily as well.

They keep calling me nonstop, like daily. When I told them to stop or I’d take legal action for harassment, they just laughed and said I couldn’t do anything - well, we’ll see about that! I keep getting calls from broadband companies and every time I tell them I’m NOT INTERESTED, they just hang up on me. It’s well annoying, so I’ve started adding their numbers to my nuisance call block list. There’s loads of them with 028, 025, 027, and 026 prefixes. Somebody rang up claiming they had cheaper broadband deals but wanted a name that wasn’t mine, saying I’d done a survey asking for a callback. I told them I hadn’t done any survey and that was the wrong name, plus I’m on the TPS. Didn’t stop them though, they kept pushing the broadband offer. I said, hang on, I already told you, I’m not who you’re looking for, so why are you still trying to sell me stuff? Told them to get a real job, take me off their list, then I ended the call.
