I got a call from this bloke saying I’d won a competition I never even took part in. I faked being another person and told him he’d got the wrong number, but he went on about me still being able to claim the prize. After I heard all that, I told him I wasn’t bothered. He then snaps back something like, “Oh, so you were into it when it was free, but now you’ve got to pay and suddenly you’re not interested?” Proper cheeky and rude.

Someone rang me saying I'd won some online competition from a few months back for an iPhone 7. I told them I never entered anything like that. They kept insisting I must’ve forgotten entering and claimed my number had been picked. After I repeated I hadn’t entered, they just went on, so I cut the call and blocked the number. What was creepy is they actually knew my first name.

this bloke rang me up claiming i’d won some lottery and wanted my personal info. i said no way and told him i’d check it out online first. he just went quiet and ended the call straight away.

I usually just don’t bother with unknown numbers, but when this one called me three times within half an hour, I figured someone might actually be trying to reach me. So I picked up, and they claimed I’d won a prize in a lottery I supposedly entered and wanted to keep the conversation going. When I told them I never signed up for anything like that, they insisted they had all my information to prove it. So I asked them to verify it, and they ended up spelling out my name wrong and gave an address I’ve never lived at. Then she just chuckled and hung up on me.

They keep ringing non stop even though I never pick up. I've blocked the number now and every call just gets turned down right away. Best to block them as soon as they call.
