She claimed my internet was at risk, mentioned something about Amsterdam, and warned that my service would be cut off unless I followed some steps she offered to help with. When I was a bit sceptical, she told me to ring BT on the number she gave to verify her claims and even gave her office address as 81 Newgate Street, London. It quickly dawned on me this was a scam, so I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call.
