I got a call from a really friendly bloke claiming to be from Home Services telling me I owed £169 for the second instalment of some 3-year insurance plan on my kitchen gadgets. He mentioned the first four numbers of my bank account, then tried to say the next four - but one digit was off. That made me suspicious straight away. I asked for a contact number and called it back. A woman picked up, but sounded unsure and couldn’t really provide any details about the company. I looked them up online but found nothing. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d signed up for a home appliance protection plan. I kept telling them I never agreed to anything and asked them to send over the paperwork as proof. They then mentioned a final bill of £169 and worryingly rattled off part of my bank card number. I flat out said I wasn’t paying a penny. She got really annoyed, said she was processing the payment straight away, then just cut me off. Definitely a scam, be careful!

This lady called me tryin to sell insurance, said it was supposed to block cold calls. I told her I'm the same, she got kinda annoyed. I told her no way, I can see what you’re doing! Then I just hung up.

So I got a call from a lady claiming she was going to charge my debit card £169 for kitchen appliances. When I asked what on earth it was about, she said it was for some contract I supposedly signed for. I told her I hadn’t agreed to anything like that and that I’d block the payment. She insisted she’d still take the money, but by then I’d had enough and told her off proper. She hung up on me after that. Seeing that others got the same call makes me feel better knowing it’s a scam.

They kept ringing asking for my wife and as soon as I said to just leave a message, they hung up. These calls are about renewing some appliance insurance I don’t even own. They call all the time and the people on the other end are really impolite and pushy. Just a complete scam if you ask me.

Yeah, right, this bloke called me up claiming I owed £169 to keep my homecare insurance going. He acted as if I was stuck with them by contract, but honestly, I’m not with them at all. He even said he had my card details and quoted the first four digits, but I reckon those aren’t exactly secret. I just kept him talking for a bit before telling him I’d wasted enough of his time and to jog on. Complete nonsense.
