I got a call from a really friendly bloke claiming to be from Home Services telling me I owed £169 for the second instalment of some 3-year insurance plan on my kitchen gadgets. He mentioned the first four numbers of my bank account, then tried to say the next four - but one digit was off. That made me suspicious straight away. I asked for a contact number and called it back. A woman picked up, but sounded unsure and couldn’t really provide any details about the company. I looked them up online but found nothing. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d signed up for a home appliance protection plan. I kept telling them I never agreed to anything and asked them to send over the paperwork as proof. They then mentioned a final bill of £169 and worryingly rattled off part of my bank card number. I flat out said I wasn’t paying a penny. She got really annoyed, said she was processing the payment straight away, then just cut me off. Definitely a scam, be careful!

They kept ringing asking for my wife and as soon as I said to just leave a message, they hung up. These calls are about renewing some appliance insurance I don’t even own. They call all the time and the people on the other end are really impolite and pushy. Just a complete scam if you ask me.
