I keep getting calls from this number non stop. It’s like they’re constantly bothering me. Surely, someone should be watching out for these scammy calls? It’s getting really annoying.

I got a bloke on the phone claiming he was from Microsoft, saying something about my PC. I kept yelling "scam" over and over, then he just cut me off. Total scam nonsense.

Got a call from someone saying they were Howard Smith, working at a call centre in India, pretending to be Microsoft support. They insisted it was really urgent and that I had to let them access my computer to fix an issue. Turns out it’s a scam! They get into your system and then try to charge you for problems they claim they caused. Definitely watch out and don’t fall for these fraudsters.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were in a call centre abroad. I hung up straight away before they could start with whatever they wanted.

Received a call from a company called Freecare Solution. Seemed a bit dodgy, probably one of those telemarketers or a scam. Definitely made me suspicious.

Someone said they were calling from Microsoft tech support, but I wasn't convinced at all.

Got a phonecall from some bloke called Eric Jones claiming he was from Microsoft Windows. Total scam, just put the phone down straight away. Microsoft would never ring you out of the blue like that. These scammers just want to get into your computer and nick your bank info. If they manage to trick even one person, it’s a win for them. Don’t pick up calls from numbers you don’t recognise, and watch out for dodgy calls even if they come from mobiles. Stay safe!

Got a call from a bloke speaking with a South Asian accent, saying he was from Microsoft. He claimed my router was sending out signals about blockages or issues. I cut him off straight away, telling him everything was fine on my end. Pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam.

I got a call on my home phone from a guy saying there was something wrong with my computer. The stuff he told me just didn’t add up at all, so I’m pretty sure it was some kind of scam.

Some bloke called saying I’d got a virus and asked me to switch on my computer. Haven’t even touched it in years! Total scam, don’t fall for it.

So this bloke called me at 10:53, spoke with a weird accent and actually told me “I hate you Mr James.” No idea who he was, lucky for him I don’t know the man. Honestly, if he’s targeting lonely or vulnerable folks especially during covid, he’s a total scammer and deserves to be locked away for good! I’ll make sure he regrets messing with me.

I never got her name, just some woman telling me my computer had issues. When I asked which company she was with, she quickly ended the call. She wasn’t pushy or anything. I’ve watched loads of clips where scammers use ANYDESK (they say "any-decks") to sneak into your PC. Once inside, they could do all sorts of nasty stuff, especially if you’re logged into your online bank. So, I usually just try to waste their time, thinking that if I keep them distracted even for a few minutes, that’s time they’re not scamming someone else.

The number looked like it might be from London. A woman answered, speaking English quite clearly but with an accent that wasn’t native. There was a short pause before she began talking. She mentioned something about my Windows computer. When I asked her to clarify which one, she replied, “the one you’re on.” I asked for further details, and she just politely hung up.

Each time I answer calls from this area code, they just disconnect on me. I've gotten numerous calls from different numbers under it, probably all from the same bunch of scammers.

I was tied up at the time and couldn't pick up, though looking back, I probably should've. Those muppets behind these scams really deserve a good telling off. I've blocked the number now, but I know they'll just try again. It's worth mentioning that BT hands out groups of numbers to these con artists, so even if you block one, another from the same batch is likely to ring you soon after. They're pretty easy to spot once you know what to look for.

Got a dodgy call about some supposed problem with my computer, like a virus or a bunch of rubbish like that. Best thing to do is just put the phone down and block the caller. Their goal is to trick you into letting them get into your computer, so they can snoop around for passwords and private info to get into your online stuff or bank accounts. Honestly, they’re just absolute lowlifes - don’t give them an inch, no matter what.
