See that comment in green about someone saying they felt better after handing over £2000 to folks claiming it was a debt to Microsoft? Pretty clear that’s just the scammers themselves posting. I got the same call, they said I owed Microsoft, but I don’t even use their stuff. Then they went on about sending bailiffs and asked for my address. Of course, I didn’t tell them anything. These scammers are proper crooks, seriously risky. Never share your details with strangers phoning you out of the blue.

Had a very slick scammer on the phone earlier who said he was James Williams from the Microsoft office in Reading. He even rattled off the real Microsoft helpline number, which made it sound believable. He kept trying to get me to log into my computer to supposedly clear out some ‘hackers’ he claimed were on my system. I played along and kept him talking for nearly five minutes, but once he twigged I wasn’t falling for it and wouldn’t give him access, he just ended the call. Pretty cheeky trick, but not for me!
