Got a call from 0203 6300 889 claiming there was a fault on my line and saying some foreigners had hacked it and were downloading loads of big files. I have had a genuine fault for over a week now, so I chatted to the woman for a bit but then got suspicious and told her I’d ring BT directly, then ended the call. She rang back right away and my husband answered, explaining we were about to contact BT ourselves as I’d just told her!
