I found this number listed as a helpline for Canon printers. I called because my printer wouldn't connect to my new laptop, said something about missing drivers. He asked to access my laptop and pointed out loads of issues with the software. But I got doubtful when he claimed my antivirus was outdated - which I knew wasn’t true as I’d just installed it. Then he offered to fix all these problems for £200 in just an hour! I said no thanks, cut off his access and deleted the program he’d used to get in. THIS WAS DEFINITELY A SCAM. Didn’t share any bank info! Watch out for this one.

For the past couple of weeks, these scammers have been ringing me non-stop. Whenever I block one number, they just come through on another, really annoying. This time I decided to answer in French and they seemed totally lost before hanging up. Hoping that might stop them or maybe they’ll remove me from their list since I don’t speak English. Fingers crossed!

They never mention their name, just say they’ll ring back in 24 hrs if you’ve got two mins to spare. Sounds like one of those consumer survey or research firms to me. Really irritating. I’m ex directory and always choose ‘no marketing’. It’s quite cheeky to call folks without giving any idea who they are or why they’re after a couple of minutes. I’ve flagged the number as spam.

I picked up and it was one of those recorded messages saying "congratulations, you’ve been picked for a prize." I just ended the call. What a waste of time.

They've rung me like four or five times in the past few weeks. An automated voice said I could win £500 or a free iPad if I pressed 2 for a callback or 9 to stop getting their calls. I chose 9 and then blocked the number on my phone. Fingers crossed they don’t bother me anymore!

Not sure but since our number's ex-directory and we've never shared it, it has to be some junk call. Numbers like these usually get sent straight to the answerphone which just tells them we can't answer and there's no option to leave a message.
